I visit my own parents about once a fortnight with my mindees. Does anyone know if I have to have disclosure checks for them or is it only if they visit my home regularly?

I take my mindees out to friends/relatives homes sometimes. I think as long as you arent leaving the children unattended at any time and the house is safe, its not a big issue. I dont see it being any different - but I could be wrong. I tell parents when we will be visiting other people and if they arent happy then I expect them to say something. But most of my parents have met my mum anyway.
Would be ineterested in other responses to this though,,,, I could be way off the mark

As far as I'm aware it's more if they are in your house, not when you are visiting theirs.
Only need crb if they are going to be in your house on a reg basis, like every day.
Hope I'm right!

As far as I have been told its only who lives at your home that need CRB 's And as long as the children are not left with anyone where you are visiting it should be ok. Hope that makes sense ?

CRB clearance is required not just for those living in your house but regular visitors too, whether its relatives or cleaner etc.
AFIK there is no requirement to have CRB clearance for anyone who may own/live in a property you take mindees to. No different to going to toddlers, childminder drop-ins etc IMO. As you know, you have to keep mindees within your sight/sound at any location you take them to.
