Just wanted to ask a question about Visitors Books. I don't have one at the moment because my family/friends always check if I am working and have only ever visited when I don't have any mindees. I do have a workman coming to do repairs soon so I thought I had better get him to sign a visitors book. Just wanted to know if date, time, name and signature are enough or is that too basic? Do I need to add more? Thanks Emler x

I have 'reason for visit' on mine too! And if it's confidential that's what I put.... You're supposed to share visitors books with parents so they know who's been in the setting while their child is there.... and 'reason for visit' stops the inevitable questions! Sarahx

Hi there,
Didn't realise I needed a visitors book!! Thanks, I'll get one sorted out now. Makes sense, now I've read this though.

I have not got a visitors book as such but put the names of any visitors and reasons for their visit in my daily diary. Lindax

My parents sign in if they stay more than 5 mins for a drop off.
Remember there is no such thing as a daft question as someone else out there may be thinking hte same thing as you but too scared to ask so you would be helping them to
