Am i going mad? I have the NCMA paperwork and I have my first little boy starting in an hour. Ive looked through the attendance register but Im confused. Do the parents only sign at the end of the week, i thought they had to sign each day but I cant find where that would be. Im so nervous about today and its not helping that a piece of paper is confusing me!!!! Thanks Sam

You fill it in daily, but the parents (& you) sign at the end of the week/the last day in the week that the mindee is with you. Tasha

LOL I remember scratching my head at that one too! Ohh & you fill in the times your mindees are actually in attendance & not whats contracted ie if your meant to have them 8am-6pm, but they turn ap at 10am & get collected at 7pm then those are the times you write in (10am-7pm).IYSWIM! Tasha

Tasha yes I agree with Tasha and you must put actual times of arrival and departure not contracted times... I didnt know this to start with but have changed it all so its right now xxx

I have my attendance register on the back shelf next to a small clock!!!! As children walk through door and take off their shoes, i'm filling it in... it becomes habitual after a while! Sarahx

if 42 is young then thats what i am at heart anyway! we are a very close family and my husband adopted alana. story being that when i was 12 weeks pregnant and just been in the new house we had bought for 5 weeks when my partner then, went for a walk and never came back and to this day i have never seen or heard from him since, left me in a right pickle! but this is the happy ending so yes we are very close.

i hate the ncma attendance register. i dont think the could have made it any more awkward if they tried.
next year i am starting seperate registers for each child in the form of a page a day diary. am going to have my payments in there to from the parents and come up with a new account system. i like ncma contracts but think their other stuff is too fussy
but yes. always fill in exact arrival/departure times as ofsted gave me grief about not doing this and just putting contract times
