When parents are signing contract and all other forms do you have to get both parents to sign that they have read and understood everything?
If a childs parents are seperated but will each be bringing child into care do you ask both to sign? and give each parent a copy?
Just thought about if one parent wasn't aware of something important in the policies and the other parent didn't mention it.
When parents come to sign contracts is it better for both parents to come and see you or can you just ask to see the other parent before care commences so you know who they both are?
Just a bit confused on it all and wondered what everyone else does?
this forum is great, my friend is just registering now and i have told her about it too.
Thanks to everyone

If 2 parents are involved in the contract then i always get them both to sign, it covers you for any disputes with either of them in the future then. If the mum and dad anre separated but one of them isnt picking up or bringing the child them its not an issue. but as they are both going to be coming then i think you should have both signatures.

I always try to get both parents to sign too just incase like you say! A lot of my parents never did come with their husbands though so I just continued with the contract and asked if they could ask their partner to come along for a few seconds the first week to sign too. It does make it easier for any future arguments that could happen
