I presume this was your pre - reg ?
Did they tell you why your garden could not be registered ? Was it unsafe for children ?
They give you a certain length of time to put things right then they will come out to check that it is then safe

I think you should let them know you've done the work and ask how soon someone could "pop" round.
Good luck

Why didn't they reg garden?
Only asking as when I had my inspection we had had an extension built so garden was like a bomb site.
She didn't even comment on it. Don't get me wrong it wasn't covered in bricks or anything but just a big mound of dirt, no grass so the children certainly couldn't play in it

We have a big mound of earth waiting to be removed from our garden after hubby put a new shed in. My inspector thought it looked like a tellytubby hill and would be great for the children to dig in!!!

Wouldnt reg garden as we had concrete borders, tp climbing frame that was not safety barked underneath. she said she was surprised i let my own kids play in the garden! fair enough but i didnt think it was dangerous personally!! ill give em a ring tomoro.

Yet another instance of inconsistencies in the system. I have one of these climbing frames in my garden and the inspector did not mention it once(I do not have bark under it)
She seemed to be more interested in stupid things like how I had made reference to older children being able to complete homework if they wanted to!!!
Very strange

i think it depends on the inspector, they are all very different, when i had my pre -reg inspection mine gave me loads of advise and ideas! she was really nice, she didnt even go into my garden because it was raining

But when I had my inspection I had a TP frame in my garden on just grass with a concrete path with weeds growing in between not far away and she had no problem with that I would ring and if they do not come out tell them you will seek legal advise for loss of earnings (well possibly not that last bit lol) love Kate

Good lord I despair sometimes, what is wrong with them!!
We can't wrap children in cotton wool. Concrete borders and climbing frames without bark are a common thing and kids have to learn that they need to be careful and if they fall they will be hurt. End of!!
If not how are they ever going to cope out in the big wide world without a chaperone?
