Hi can you tell me do you have to be like a nursery/ have a designated playroom and have loads of planning paperwork to have a chance of an outstanding ?

Don't know - you could read some reports of outstanding childminders on the Ofsted website.

Angel does - she mentioned something about her friend of hers - hopefully she will reply & tell you all about it! I'm not perfect! I work damn hard & am ALWAYS looking to improve, but perfect - there's no such thing! Tasha

I'm not perfect either - the inspector made it very clear to me that she didn't want me to get complacent or stop learning and developing what I do I think it's a combination of damned hard work and a certain amount of luck on the day - right inspector, right combination of children, right mood and weather etc Sarahx

I wish your inspector had spoken to my inspector....my inspector actually said "well, we're doing it properly in Shropshire!" Implying that outstandings given in the rest of the country weren't valid......getting crosser and crosser about it TBH! That is sooo unfair Saira! It's supposed to be achievable or why is it there? I think a number of inspectors need to go back to inspector school.... Sarahx

In North Lincolnshire I don't think any childminders have received an outstanding yet. in fact I think there are very little settings received one.
