Can anyone please give me some suggestions as to how to present evidence to Ofsted.
Particularly, about how to display photoSs of activities etc.
Should I have a folder divided into ECM outcomes with pages from my themes in?
Any suggestions woulds be great.
Thanks, Donna

Hi Donna I have a photo album with all pics in of outings and kids doing crafts etc. I also have a separate small album for each child that I give to their parents when they are full. We did scrap books in the holidays with pics and projects etc in them, I asked a couple of the parents to let me have them back for my inspection. Also, I have a file that has all my BTTM obs and diaries in along with monthly fire and risk assessments. Think that was pretty much all I showed the inspector - kept her busy for a while though Hope that helps. There is no hard and fast rule of how you do it just as long as you have the evidence to hand to show them. Love Diane x

Hi Donna
Diane's right it doesn't matter how you choose to present your evidence so long as you can show the inspector what you do.
I have a file divided into the 5 outcomes and then within each outcome the standards it covers - like "Helping children to be healthy" covers standard 7 & 8 and BTTM a healthy child. So in this section I've got policies for health and safety etc, first aid cert etc and so on for the other outcomes.
I also have a brochure for parents that I put a lot of photos in and I think that's good to show Ofsted too.
You could make a display of photos to put up - children like to talk about things they've made or places they've visited and Ofsted often ask any children present about things they've done so they could show them too.
Hope this helps

Hi Donna
Think that Diane and Miffy gave you some really good advice
Above all remember that it will take you a while to get everything in order some of us have been minding for ages so have had ages to do all this
It is always best to take pictures of any activities that you do to with the children as evidence that you do actually do these things
I gather you have your inspection soon ? Let us know when you hear

;D Hi pictures pictures pictures that all i can say if you have a profile file put them in there , if you have a self evaluation file put them in there, and do a scrap book with some writing in linking to b23 or EYFS.if you think oooh shall i do that, do it because one day you will get an inspector that asks you why you havent done it.
