Cripes - Ofsted rang today! Somehow I managed to wangle a month before they come! Inspection will be w/c 13th August. Have a lot of work to do on b23 paperwork & need to organise the toys (again) apart from that & cleaning the house top to bottom everything else is ok.
I am aimimg for good at the very least, so will be back and forth for advice from yous lot!
Now if you'll just excuse me I have to run round like a headless chicken and then I am going to see Harry Potter!

good luck, by the sounds of it you're all prepared. I know not all inspectors are the same but I hardly had any B23 evidence, only a handful of observations, yet they were fine with this esp as b23 ends next year, and i still got a good.

Thank everyone - I already printed off all Angels b23 stuff ages ago - just need to get it al in a presentable form & sort out some records & observations.
The Harry Potter film was once again dissapointing - but I thinkI expect too much - they leave out characters & change the story to suit them and it annoys me so I cant enjoy the fim. Wont say anything else for thsoe who are going to see it.
Thanks again for all your support - I prob will get on less than ever for a while ( I read posts every day but often dont have time to reply but I am with you every day lol)

I have only just registered and am trying to find my feet and get my head around all I need to do before taking on mindees. B23 has been mentioned alot.
Please don't shout at me for being naive but what is B23. I clearly haven't been inducted well. I'm assuming it is to do with Birth to Three Matters or Foundation stage evidence but a little guidance on how to get my head around it all would be greatly appreciated.
Angel - where is your B23 stuff for me to look at??? Thanks.

Yes Susan, b23 is Birth to 3, as the EYFS doesn't come in till next September Ofsted will be expecting to see you following B23 or EYFS and as the EYFS is only just out there isn't a lot of advice on how to implement it yet. Angel has done loads of superb advice in the Birth to three section wich is below this Ofsted section. It simplifies the whole thing & makes it easy to understand.
