Here is a questionnaire that you can ask parents to fill in before an Ofsted inspection. I think it wil be quite useful. www.one17design.com/tinas/downloads.htmlThere is also some other nice things to download.

I haven't started childminding yet as I have only just become registered in the last couple of weeks and still awaiting for NCMA to send my insurance through.
I dont' know if Ofsted expect a questionnaire or not but I personally would like to know what the parents were thinking of my services and action where I feel I could improve by their comments. A useful thing to do would be my opinion.
Thanks SUsan x

I agree that it's a good idea to have a questionnaire for parents but I sometimes wonder if they would be absolutely honest. They might be worried that if they said they were not happy or that there were things you could change, that you might not like it and it would affect your relationship, after all they have to meet with you everyday!

nice site. but if anyone's downloaded their sickness policy its wrong - you should ask parents to keep their children away for a minimum of 48 hours after D&V, 24 hours is now thought insufficient particularly for childminders & nurseries as we care for babies and young children who are more vulnerable than older children adults who usually have better standards of hygiene. i've emailed them so hopefully they'll change it. www.one17design.com/tinas/pdf/sickchildpolicy.pdf

Yes in the past Ofsted actually have sent me parent questionaires to be filled in before my inspection, so they do like them. Carol xx
