Well I had my Ofsted inspection last Thursday.
The inspector caught me by suprise & arrived 30 minutes before my mindee! My daughter was in the worst mood imaginable, amazingly this played to my advantage as the inspector was really impressed with how I distracted her & managed my time with her & the little girl that I look after.
The inspector stayed for 4 hours & told me that she couldnt decide what grade to give me (wouldnt tell me what she was choosing between though!) When she had decided she told me that she was giving me a good but that I was almost outstanding - I was amazed and seeing that it was my first inspection was going to be happy with a satisfactory. She said I was so boderline the only thing that made me a good rather than an outstanding was my experience. From memory I got an outstanding for my safety & all other elements were a good.
Cant thank you girls enough for your help with everything especially Birth 2 Three.

Well done Clare
Congratulations I am really pleased for you - you can now relax a little and enjoy minding for a couple of years before you have to go through it again.

Well done Clare, you should be very proud. It's a shame you have to wait 3 years to have another go at getting an outstanding but never mind, an outstanding in some just some of the areas is fantastic.

Thanks girls I was really chuffed. Will post a link to my report when its on the website.
Dont know if your aware of this already but when the lady from Ofsted was getting ready to leave she was talking to me about when I would next be inspected. Apparently, its not a fixed 3 yearly visit now. They have a window when they have to carry out an inspection & the computer selects at random who will be visited & when. They always try to do those 1st with complaints against them or if you have been awarded unsatisfactory but after that its pot luck. The next window is from March / April 2008 to March / April 2011 so it could be as little as a year or as much as 4 years away! x
