Well I finally had my inspection today.
Not sure what I was expecting or what to expect from the inspector herself. However I have to say it went very well, she was lovely and down to earth not the alien I had built up in my head !!
Well as you know it was my first inspection and I was awarded a Good, which I have to say I am very pleased with. Will be glad when I can read it but she said she was very impresed and I am more like a pre school so should go for accreditation, not sure I should go that route but will have to do some research first.
But hey I am soooooo glad it is over, I have a glass of wine with my name on it this evening and looking forward to a good nights sleep.

Congratulation. Don't forget to do a link to your report when you get it, so we can all have a peek! Well done and enjoy your wine! Tasha Ps. Lots of childminders find accreditation a lot of hassle, but it does give you access to more funding!

Well done and congratulations! We've been told that you can't become accredited unless you have a minimum NVQ 3 (or equivalent) and are part of a network. Is this just another regional thing? I've got the NVQ but we just can't get any networks set up around here

Yes Pauline you are correct
You do have to become part of a network and go to lots and lots of meetings and as I am not one for doing all that I did have a bit of a problem at the start but then they said if you go to a few over the year it will be ok
Also about the NVQ3 once again you are correct but In my area if you do not have it you can work towards it at the same time as working towards the accreditation
That is what I was told anyway so I think that is right
