Well ladies, I know when my inspection is going to be!!
I think I've got all together what I need to have sorted so i'm not that nervous really.
Spoken to the inspector twice and she seems really nice.
I dont really need to have the visit, as I look after over 8's but may as well get it over and done with!
Its brill to see you all have done so well - proud of you all
xx

I had my inspection yesterday, phew its over and done with ... well maybe I have over 8's and one child who is 8 in a couple of months ... the inspector was coming to view me with the under 8 and typically sods law she was being picked up by someone else yesterday from school. Explained this to the inspector, who was a lovely lady, really made me feel at ease. She said that i'd probably have to be graded 'inadequate' but she'd see what she could do! She said that every other part of my inspection was graded as 'good'. She's just rang to tell me that i've got a 'satisfactory' grading overall with 'good' parts to the inspection. Hohum typical eh

That is SO unfair, why should you be downgraded just because the children were not there!!
If you can prove that you know what you are doing and can show evidence, then it should not affect your grade that much.
I think she should have told you that the child not being there would have a bearing on the outcome and given you the option to cancel the inspection.

It does seem unfair, chatted with the Inspector for ages about it and to be fair to her she was really pleased with what I have put in place. This child's mother has been nothing but trouble since I took her on and then yesterday it came to a head later in the afternoon, so as from tomorrow i'm giving her a months notice, i'm fed up with the way that she's treating and using me, so enough is enough especially after it was 'her fault' that i'd nearly got such a pathetic grading. But anyway i'm a lot happier today now that its satisfactory, as i've been told I cant make an appeal, i've just got to accept it really, as last night i'd spent all evening in a foul mood and crying But today's another day. Cheers ladies for the support xx

I agree with all the others, that really is so unfair. I can understand why you were so upset last night, I would have been the same.
