I am starting to get really frustrated with Ofsted.
It has been just under 4 years since I was last inspected. The inspector has rang several times and arranged several possible days to visit over the last 4 months. On each occasion she has failed to turn up.
The last time she was due was last week and I ended up staying in for 2 days and she still didn't arrive. I have rang and left countless messages for her to call me but still haven't heard anything.
I know is seems mad but I just want the inspection over and done with and I am getting really fed up. Has anyone else had these kinds of problems or is it just me!!

that really must be frustrating!!!
Is there someone else you can phone? perhaps complaints department. You cant be expected to work with someone so unreliable, I would ask for another inspector, this one sounds pretty unorganised!
Well here's hoping you will have an inspection soon!

That's really awful that she doesn't turn up, you ought to write and complain - they would soon be moaning at you if you went out when they were due!
My inspection was due last December, heard nothing yet but there are lots around here who are overdue.

To be honest I am never usually backwards in coming forwards but the last thing I want to do is unset her just in case she does end up doing my inspection.
To be fair to her I know that the area is really short on inspectors and that one of them is on long term sick but it is still frustrating especially as I gave her my mobile number as well.
Not a lot more I can do really so will have to put up with it.

Hi Dee
They must be really behind if it is now 4 years since you were last inspected
Gives you longer to prepare anyway so I would leave it and just wait
I do think it is rude to let you down though and not to let you know I think if it were me I would end up saying something when she next called like " could you let me know this time please if you can not make it " Maybe something happened though and she was taken ill, you never know ?

Hi Angel
Last time I spoke to her I asked her if she could call and she said it wasn't possible and that although she had given me 2 days that she would try to visit that she shouldn't have as they are not allowed to specify the day and should have only told me to expect her in that month. I then told her that she would be wasting her time if she did that as there was no way I was going to sit in all month waiting for her. I explained that I go out every day with the children that we go to the park, toddler groups, soft play etc and that unless she gave me a date there was no way I would be home. That is why she gave me the two possible days but it still didn't work!
I know that by her not turning up would give me more time but to be honest it just causes me more problems. I couldn't be more ready if I tried. I have been expecting this inspection since last May/June and have spent all this time getting myself ready and every scrap of paperwork was done, all development plans were set and up to date, all policies and procedures in place in fact by her not appearing has now put my paperwork behind again.
Oh well - will have to just stop moaning and get on with it!! ;D
