Hi all I live in Wales and so am inspected by CSIW. Been registered since Sept 06 and I noticed from all your posts that OFSTED give you an inspection 6/7 months after registration. Please could anyone tell me whether it is the same in Wales?? Do they ring and let you know they are coming or do they just call in? Would be greatful for any info as I am now stressing about it

Hi Thanks for replying! and thanks for the link angel I will phone them. As regards paperwork, Are they looking for pretty much the same as when you get your pre-reg inspection? or do they expect even more info? I have put together a parents folder with all policys and procedures, all about me, certificates, etc and I am working on a welcome brochure to give to parents when they come to see me. Is that enough? x

They would expect more information compared to your pre - reg but it sounds like you have things in order with what you have got already
Do you have children to mind , it is always a good idea to back any activities you have done with evidence - either pictures and work they have done or photos

Like Angel says you are doing everything right and they will expect more than at the pre-reg visit.
Read through the standards and make sure you have some evidence of meeting them.

forgot to say, if it's the same as in England then they will phone a few days before hand but if you are not minding they will put it off.

Hi Yes I do have some children - only 1 regular once a week, others occasional. I have kept some paintings and took some photos do I need to write any thing about activities?
Do they only come when you have children to mind?
Thanks for advice girls x

You won't really need to write anything but you can tell her all about the activities you do backed up with the photos you have and the work the children have done.
