hi first of all dont worry and be yourself the inspector will go through the standards book with you and ask you questions about what you would do they will also measure the rooms you will be using and check for safety eg plug covers, cupboard locks etc. they will also check your garden and the plants if you have any pets they will need to see if they are upto date with injections. they will check your partnes crb form i think thats about it i am sure angel or pauline will add more if i have missed anything out. i know i have got an inspection coming up soon. good luck debra

hi. I was really worried about mine, but there was absolutely no need. The lady was lovely and very helpful. It helped that I already had all my policies done, so it saved her a lot of time and she could see from the policies that I understood the national standards. Have you got all your polices done? It doesn't matter if not, it just helps. Good luck!

I think Debra has covered it all.
It's really just a check so that you can get all the necessary things done around the house to meet registration rules.
It's a good time to ask any questions you might have.
They will inspect all the rooms you plan to use for minding so go around, have a good look at where you feel you might need to do things, like as Debra says plug sockets etc.
You don't have to do it all before Monday, although it would help, but if you have a list of all the things you plan to do it will show the inspector that you are aware of what's needed.
Have all your paper work ready, including birth certificates, marriage cert etc.

The visit was very informative, she did say at the end "Do you want to continue with Registration??" and added that a lot of people give up at this point because of what is involved!!..........Nah not me Im determined to make this work ;D
