what kind of things do you all have? i'm a little stuck for ideas, i dont have a massive garden but its reasonably sized and its all grassed over.
was thinking of getting a swing and slide set thing becasue we dont have a park near by but i've just got a leaflet through saying there building loads of new things like picnic areas a new park and a games centre.
I have a barked area for a playhouse, stuff to make obstacle courses, slide, seesaw, rocker, natural picture resources (a la Andy Goldsworthy) etc
A grassy bit for tents, football net, tea parties, spinning with hoops etc
A paved area for all round weather use with a big gazebo, access for bikes, chalk pictures, chairs, table, big boxes that were rockets last week, messy table etc
Borders - one part of which is herb and sensory planting for the children (most of which is a bit sad and needs work next year)
A big all weather box for bats, balls, bean bags, buckets and spades etc

Not convinced about trampolines tbh - bit of a safety issue I think, would def need specific permission! Used to have a swing but decided that wasn't safe in such a small space as well - children will run in front when it's going.... however many times you do the safety chat ! Had to remove the climbing frame as it was over a certain height and therefore had to have 1 ft deep of bark or special surface to a diameter I wasn't prepared to give up!

We do have a trampoline - I got it earlier this year and some of the girls here remember how excited I was about it I understand what Sarah is saying because I was concerned about safety issues surrounding them also
I must confess it has been my best buy where the kids and adults are concerned
It has all the net around it
Only one child at a time
Always fully supervised
Parents sign a form to say they give permission for the children to go on it and that they understand the dangers etc
To be honest - touch wood we have had not had one accident on it - it is used daily too
We have more accidents with children banging their shins up on the little plastic bikes or falling over in general
I say get one !!!!
It is like anything else really - if used correctly it should be ok
Happy shopping

I AM MEETING SOME LOVELY CHILDMINDERS ON THE 8TH DECEMBER YIPPIE
brilliant, I've given loads away and received some bits too, I got a brand new still boxed and shrink wrapped steam iron few weeks ago by Morphy Richards costs £70 in Argos catologue......
yea the woman is bringing it round at 2 for me with some garden chairs and table too.
yea i'm amazed at the things people give away on there things that if i had i would just put them on ebay and get abit of money for them
I moderate for our local site and we have just banned someone for doing exactly that IYSWIM, they were collecting things and putting thank you posts onto the site and we found out they were selling them on for profit on ebay.... hence she was banned, you should have seen the excuses she was coming out with as to why she'd sold them on...... laughable !!!!
She collected some things from me which i was livid to see she then sold on ebay, I was trying to be kind and do a good deed and share what I had if I'd wanted to make money from it i'd have sold them myself on ebay
oh no i dont mean i would get things off freecycle and then sell them on ebay. i meant that if i had some of the things people were giving away on there i wouldnt put them on freecycle i would sell them on ebay.
Thats terrible that people would do that though i wouldnt even think of something like that
shes just delivered them they need cleaning down but that hardly matters. well pleased
my hubby made a climbing frame with tree house and walkway (its about 15ft in height) - it has slide, monkey bars, tyre swings, knotted rope to climb up (specific parental permission for both)
playhouse
all the usual trikes, bikes, scooters, skateboards. tunnels and tents, sports day kits and footie goals, sandpits (in summer paddling pools from the tiny up to a big pool)
We've got the extension under way now and the garden isn't safe or secure so thats out of bounds now for a while but again I am lucky - literally at the back of my garden is the school playing field which can be used and several parks dotted nearby.
The only thing I have stopped in the garden is the boys playing footie - both side neighbours have got greenhouses and it was costing a fortune to replace the glass!!!
OMG TT were AWESOME - I need a paramedic (preferably Mark Owen) And I behaved like a groupie!!! lol
