I am sure i have seen this answered somewhere before but I can't remember what it said.
I have had an enquiry about looking after 2 children, 1 child is 3 and starting nursery in September (the parent is even willing to wait until 1st Oct as i am on holiday - she will be going Mon, Tues & Wednesday morning and Thursday & Friday afternoon. The second child (4 and half yrs old)is starting reception class in September. Do I charge while the youngest is at nursery? I wasn't intending to charge for the older child?
I haven't met the parents yet but I need to have the answer ready for them.
Sorry if this has been on here before.

Hi Lucia
There is a thread somewhere about this I will see if I can find it but basically yes you do charge
The child will be taking up a place that you more than likely will not be able to fill for the time they are at nursery Also they will prob expect you to be their emergency contact So if child is ill or nursery is closed you will be expected to have the child Therefore you need to keep the place open and avilable for the child So yes they still pay
