Hi ya,
I'm not sure about the charges for summer holidays - do you charge extra or keep it the same as your normal hourly rate or do you charge half of the normal fee - i'm confused.
Sorry guys - just realised i've put it in the wrong place - my apologies

No problem, I'll move it for you. Re your question, do you mean for the children who don't attend? i.e. charges for absence?

I am sure that I have answered this question for you before and some of the others or was it for someone else haha
Like Pauline says what do you mean?
If children are with me for summer holidays I charge the same fees If they go on holiday I still charge full fees
If they are not with me and not contracted for the holidays then it depends on what arrangment I have with the parents Some pay half fee Others do not
Let us know what you mean

thanks for moving it Pauline - I would have done it myself but realised later i couldn't.
Answering the question i meant was - would do you charge for the summer holidays as if the children were attending as usual do you charge a higher rate than normal because they are on holiday from school or class the holidays as a normal day, because i just wanted to make sure that i was charging correctly.
I charge session rates mon - fri 8am to 1pm - 1pm - 6pm Absences - Child/Parents - Full Fee same for sickness and if i'm sick - no charge Childminders Annual Holiday - No Fee
is this correct? i don't want to be overcharging or short changing myself

Hi, I charge the sme for holidays, as I do any normal day at an hourly rate. If the time is contracted then it is paid for unless I am sick, my children are sick or I go on holiday. If it is a term time contract, then a charge a retainer fee (1/2 normal fee) for the school holidays in between terms - worked ou on a weekly basis). Hope this helps Tasha
