Hi Louise
Normally, if say a child came every day but not in the school holidays you would charge a retainer for the holiday weeks.
However, this proves very expensive for parents when it is the other way round and they only want holiday time care, so the minders I know add a little onto their hourly or daily rate and then don't charge a retainer for the weeks in between.
What does everyone else do?

Hi, I have been really lucky because the children I have during school holidays do not need holiday care, and I have had parents approach me about holiday care but no term care, so I have not had to charge any more to both parents as the work has been continuous for me, just not the same children.
But this is still my first year so maybe things will change in the future if it doesn't continue to work for me
hope you can work it out soon Becky
