i'm getting more and more nervous as the days go by, i know it's daft as we sort of know each other anyway but when i think about it i get butterflies in my tum, and i know this is really stupid but i'm quite nervous about getting to the station and not being able to find you and the others, i have visions of me sitting there looking lost and lonely lol

I am very excited but very nervous too!
I can't believe I am doing this - it is sooooooooo out of character for me. In a way though I am quite proud of myself for doing it. I never do things on my own - but since I've started childminding I do go on courses on my own. I have very little self confidence.

Have a great time ladies, wish i had agreed to come now! Next time there will be no stopping me! I just want to meet you all and give you all the biggest hugs for being fantastic and so supportive! Childminding can make you feel so isolated and lonely sometimes and its just wonderful that everyone supports each other so much on this forum. Love you all loads! have a wonderful time!

Lana,
I know there is a TJ Hughes in Weston super Mare, I got my slimming knickers from there. They are very hard to get on but they do smooth out all the lumps and bumps!

well i'm a very lucky girl as my parents took me shopping today and as a surprise told me they didn't want me to go to brum in my tat (my dad's words), so i've got a pair of lovely wool mix trousers, a winter coat and on monday they are buying me some high heel boots, a top and new handbag oh and some thick tights as the trousers are a bit itchy ;D

I'll be honest i was getting really stressed and upset as i haven't bought clothes for years and they aren't in "going out condition" and are very erm lets just say casual ;D (nope lets be honest they are tat, my dad was right lol)

i think i must be very emotional today as your post brought a tear to my eye theresa. it doesn't matter how old we are we are still our parents babies my mum was so worried by my bad foot that she insisted on taking me to m and s and buying me soime of their foot glove shoes it doesn't matter that nothing will help my foot but physio but she was determined to buy them, she lives in london which is 150 miles away so the next time i was down which was for a funeral she insisted we leave early to go shopping

Theresa that is so nice what your Mum and Dad have done for you. You are a very lucky girl!
Mandy, what a thoughtful thing for your mum to do, I suppose she just needs to feel she's doing something even though it won't help.
Angel, I am sure you will find something to wear, I hope you can get sorted this weekend.

I can't believe it has come round already!!! I am sooo excited. I have got a few new bits a pieces but I think for the first time in ages I am looking forward to a night out with friends without the worry of everyone being judgemental, iyswim!! I feel like I have got to know everyone really really well and I know for definite that none of us are like that.
So I am probably going to wear something I have already in my wardrobe which makes me happy as I have more money left for the children's christmas presents. Theresa we would still love you even if you did come in your "old tat". Mandy, ditto, if you just came in your knickers!!
Big hugs to everyone
Amanda xx
