I had been saving for ages and ages
I have got my hubby a really expensive present
I have got the playstation 3 with some games
I had to play a fast one last month though when I got it because I needed to use some of my wages I knew he would wonder where it had gone So my daughter pretended she needed to borrow some
Well hubby keeps making odd remarks lately - has Nicola ( my daughter ) paid you back yet ?
I hate telling lies and I feel horrible I know it is for a good cause - he also keeps coming into a room when I am whispering about it -I look guilty etc I am sure he thinks I am up to no good haha
I can not wait for him to open it on Christmas morning big kid that he is

Ha ha thats made me laugh angel, you sound about as good as me at being secretive!!!
Reminded me of xmas 5 yrs ago, i secretly bought Adam a PS2. He kept going on about it, and i told him in no uncertain terms he was NOT going to get it.
We only had Josh then, it was the yr i was pregnant with Izzy and i said dont be so silly, we cant afford that, got baby stuff to buy and Josh is more important than you!!!
Anyway on xmas day, we had all our pressies (except PS2) and i waited right until the end of the day and said oh i forgot one presnt and brought it out and he was over the moon etc etc
However he did later admit he knew the whole time he was getting it!!! said i was rubbish at keeping secrets!!!
Anyway lately with 2 small children, we dont really buy for each other, just token gifts nothing too expensive as for me its all about the children.

I'm stuffed too - all hubs has pointed out is a Stylistics (or something like that) album! I keep asking hubs that what do you get the bloke who has everything - wonderful wife, three gorgeous kids (several minded ones who think he is the bees knees lol) and two dogs who slobber over him. Blokes!! and they reckon we are hard to buy for.

Lou I know just what you mean about it being about the children
We never really used to bother all our spare cash went on the kids - if ever we had any spare left we would buy each other a spare gift but very rare
Now the kids are older we have started to make up for it that is why I can not wait for him to open his presie
He is going on and on about this playstation he is doing my head in - he wants to buy it with his christmas bonus he gets it a few days before christmas So I am hoping that the shops have sold out - otherwise I do not have a clue what I am going to do
I have 2 problems - one I have to stop him buying the playstation 2 I have to drop some hint so I get a nice expensive present in return haha

Angel why not say you heard that Currys is selling them half price from Boxing day onwards, in the hope he'll wait?
My hubby is getting.. some Hackett aftershave, 2 jeremy clarkson books ( funny ones) a cricket bat ( don't ask!) and a DAB radio. Will also get some socks and that probably, and want to get a dressing gown too.
I find so many things i would love to buy him but I can't afford ( and its only me buying them him with his own money anway!) I'vve applied for a temp XMas job so I can get him stuff with my own money for once.

We are getting joint pressies this year. a dishwasher (not exciting but now needed). We are also going to have a trip to London for a weekend to see a show as my hubby works away a lot so we are having a weekend to ourselves with no kids . Will be getting him a few little things, the new Borat or Jeremy Clarkson book, a box of pickled onion space raiders, a box of refresher bars and probably the usual socks etc! Sam

Thanks for all the replies to my plea for help!
I've only got to get Darren a couple of little presents as we are buying ourselves a new bed for Christmas in the January sales but I still don't know what to get!
Last night I ordered him a little belly button fluff remover gadget, it's really nice and quite funny and also this game which is a ball that electricutes you - you throw it to each other until one of you either drops it or gets electricuted! Ha ha! It's for me really but he'd never get me anything that much fun!
I need to get him something sensible and nice from Benjamin but have no idea!
Don't know what else to get though so please give me some more ideas!
Please, please help some more!

we're having a joint present aswell - a wii, if we can get our hands on one that isn't massively overpriced.
Last year he bought me a diamond bracelet and diamond earrings. I knew about the earrings but not the bracelet, must admit brought a tear to my eye.
2 weeks after christmas I lost one of the earrings.
I'd got up in the morning and got straight in the shower. when i came out of the shower I noticed that i'd only got one earring in. I searched frantically in all the bed around the bed and in the shower. NOTHING.
i tred to look in the plug hole. ended up prising the plug hole off (thinking I could fix it after) and taking all the pipes off still couldn't find it. put everything back together, poured down some water and it leaked out everywhere!
So not only did I have to tell hubby I'd lost an earring, but I had also knackered the shower.
Ended up with a new ensuite! needed one anyway but just weren't planning on it so soon.
Earring never showed up.
p.s I've got 2 of the Jeremy Clarkson books and think they're really funny.

Oh Caroline that is such a shame about your earring
Same sort of thing happened to my mom years ago - but down the kitchen sink - she almost broke the sink to try and get it
But it was lost
My dad found it a few years later in the garden - not sure how it got there
Maybe yours will find its way back to you
Good luck in getting a wii everyone seems to be selling out of them

That's awful! My mum lost her diamond engagement ring only a few days after she got it and has always regretted it, dad offered to get her another but she said it wouldn't have been the same so said no - think she regretted that too!!
I've had an idea for Darren's christmas pressie - he's no longer coming out of the army for the time being but he will be doing electrical work at weekends to get his business started so I thought I'd order him an embroidered polo shirt with his company name and logo on it!
I'm so relieved that I've had an idea at last!
I bought him the Jeremy Clarkson book last year and got him Chris Moyles's book for his birthday - he liked both of them.
Thanks for everyone's help.
