Hi
I have recieved an email and am trying to get it sent out to as many people as possible.
November 28, 2007 I M PO R T A N T W A R N I NG ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Anyone-using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on.
This information arrived this morning, Direct from both Microsoft and Norton.
Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet.
You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail with a Power Point presentation ' Life is Beautiful'
If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, and delete it immediately.
If you open this file, a message will appear on your screen saying:
'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.'
Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC, and the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.
This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon.
AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it.
The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner.'
PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS E-MAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS, and ask them to PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY
Please pass on to as many people as you can
Thanks
Dee

I know it says it comes from Microsoft but does it really ?
I am always receiving emails from the bank which are fake but look like they are direct from them and they are not

I always fall for these type of things
Wonder what makes people think to do this sort of thing
Must be really sad and lonely

I was told ages ago that apparently the reason for doing this is to gather thousands if not millions of email addresses by companies who send spam emails. When you forward an email on to somone, it contains all the previous recipients in it also. Eventually the huge email with all the email addresses manage to make their way back around to the companies who then use your email as a spam dumping ground.
Quite clever really.
