Have you ever received anything that you have hated and you have had to pretend it is brilliant
Have you ever been expecting something and had your hopes dashed when you have opened it and you have had to sit there all smiles ?
Have you ever had something that is utter rubbish and useless to you ?

I see tips coming up for the secret Santa here haha

omg this is a great one for me lol.
Last year was total pants for me, i always do a christmas stocking for my family but never have one back, so i asked my mum for one.
This is what i got
Cheap second hand earrings that i wouldn't wear if my life depended on it. Vile is an understatment.
About 200 emery boards, the really cheap ones that slice your finger if they get on your skin.
Crayons and colouring book.... Wait for it, for my nieces
Toys again wait for it ...... for my nieces
mobile phone charm, don't use one
cheap perfume, she knows i can't use it as i have sensitive skin
And to top it all off, she told my brother and sil that a dawn bibby video would be a great present for me, it would if i had a telly and video machine
xxx
ps forgot to say she even admitted to me my presents were tat!!! and that she set out to get me rubbish as i said i wouldn't complain about what i got. This is why ladies and gents i'm staying at home with my cats this year

I have been married to my husband for 20 years now, so you would have thought my mother-in-law would have known by now I cannot stand any form of nuts.
A few Christmas's ago I got a box of chocolates from her. Yes, that was all I got and you guessed it, they were the nut collection from Thorntons. I knew she didn't like me!!
I said to Julian that that was her way of giving him another christmas present. I didn't even try one.

My brother and sil last year bought me the cheapest watch set which had a watch and braclet which I had seen in a shop for £4.99 and then they said oh do you like the present. I had to grit through my teeth and say oh yes. I wouldn't mind but I always buy them really nice things.
Cannot wait to see that rubbish I get this year.

Susan - What's an 8 ball?
Can't say i've really had any useless xmas pressies, but I did get an awful birthday pressie. My sil bought me a handbag which was disgusting. It was burgundy tweed, with a bow on it and something like the queen would use. I found out which shop she bought it from and took it back!
She asked me if I liked it and I lied telling her it was lovely. She was like "are you sure you liked it" I said "yes, it's really nice"!
If she ever questions why she's never seen me with it I shall tell her that the strap broke and I had to take it back!

Caroline that is funny.
Every year I get a gift from someone I have known for over 20 years I first met her when my son was at school and her daughter was in the same class
We are not really friends as such if you know what I mean
She buys me such rubbish presents every year - cheap plate type of things that you put on the wall - with animals on them or just the animals head or something
I saw them last year in poundland
I know it is the thought that counts but I would rather she had no thought at all ha

It has to be the big knickers, I've mentioned them before but for those who did not read, it was a present from a mindee's mum, a pair of big pink old ladies type knickers, probably size 18 (I'm a 12!!) I was gobsmacked!
