All I have for disability at the mo is books, dont call me special (same as you) and I am the music man (pictures of wheelchair user), playmobile man in wheel chair & balamory's penny pocket doll (but it's only small). I also have disabilitly pictures for kids to colour in but thats it. I will be interested to see what other people have managed to get.

Early Learning Centre used to do a happy land hospital which had people with various disabilities - wheelchair user, bandaged etc. Don't know whether they still do them though. I also have a disability bingo game which I made up from pics on the net and then laminated

Thanks for those links Angel - disabilities is a hard one to cover I have some books - Danny the Guide Dog is popular, and Topsy and Tim do 2 - a child in a wheelchair and one with glasses I also have literature from hearing dogs for the deaf (my fave charity) which I use during 'Togs for Dogs' week apart from that, every poster I make has a selection of multicultural and disabled children taken from here - www.ltscotland.org.uk/earlyyearsSarahx

I have a dolly with a leg missing (checked for safety of course) I know it sound basic, but if the children ask why I haven't thown it away because "it's broken" I say that we wouldn't throw them away if they lost a leg (or arm etc) but would still love them because they would still be the same inside. and that's why we don't throw dolly away!

Yes that is a good idea Pauline - surprising how sometimes we do not even think of the most simple and cheapest things

Hi people! I have got some Balamory stuff, there is a character called Penny Pocket who is a wheel chair user. One book is called buggies and prams which is centered around her character and overcoming problems using "wheel chair friendly routes", and I have a fuzzy felt set. As well as it showing disabilities in a positive light it also is multicultural.
I have made a matching game using some of the pictures which are on the website with the disability colouring pages on
I also have Don't call me special book by Thomas/Harker, and a Topsy and Tim make a new friend book.
