Did you know if you are a childminder you can collect these from your local library - or call them first to ask them to get them in for you Or ask your parents to get a pack for you www.bookstart.co.uk/Parents-and-carers/Packs/Parents-My-Treasure-ChestThere is a free book you can order on this site also Plus some rhymes that you can download for the kids which are really nice Angel xx

The rhymes are lovely thanks Angel and they are in Welsh too!! We can't have these particular books but we have a similar scheme where all the books we receive are bilingual.

Thanks Angel, we've been told that we can only get a pack if we take the child's 'Red Book' (clinic book) along but I don't like asking the parents for it.

I agree that they are really good angel. My little boy was offered one at the library and I was a bit sceptical about having even more junk to clutter up the house but the pack was great!

Went to the library to get Treasure Chest today. Lady wasn't too keen to give me one, said I had to have a child in nursery which I have and I also needed red book which I was so happy to say I had it with me.
She just kept saying they are really expensive, pointed out I had 2 children and was also a childminder as well.
Don't know exactly what her problem was, all she had to do was stick as sticker in the red book to say I had been given one and that was it.
Anyway, moan over, really nice, lots of books and chest although cardboard is good for storing stuff.

My son starts school in Sept. He had to go for x3 pre-visits a few weeks ago.
The third week the parents had to go in the hall for a meeting with head teacher. At the end of the meeting we were all given the bookstart box for each child. They are really good.
