Well, I have bitten the bullet & today I joined weight watchers online. I have tried to lose weight before & I always start well but after a couple of months I slip back into old habits. I thought if I join (and fork out some money) then I bloomin' well better shed some pounds!!! My target loss is 1st 4 lbs - wish me luck! Is anyone else doing WW online?

Good luck Emler!
I've never done it online as I just don't think I would stick to it, my will power is pants!
Let me know how you do though and I might reconsider.

You have access to all the advice & information you would get at a Weight Watchers meeting. I have chosen the points plan so first I had to enter my height, current weight & target weight. I was given my daily points allowance and I have to stay within that every day - yikes! My points are being tracked for me - which is good because I don't have to remember where I'm at! Am still finding my way around their site but will keep you posted on how I get on.

Good luck emler, i joined weight watchers last week. I didnt think i would be able to stick to it doing it online as for me its the pressure of being weighed. I have bought a monthly pass so hopefully that will keep be going as i will have paid for it in advance.
Good luck with yours, and keep us posted xx

UPDATE!
I haven't had much chance this week to get on the forum for more than a few mins so I'm a bit late with my 1st week weight watchers update! I lost 6lbs last week. Gobsmacked doesn't cover it! I had been doing really well sticking to my points all week until Friday night when I was taken out for a surprise meal. I was certain that Friday night would have undone all my good work so I went to the gym with hubby on Saturday in an attempt to make amends! (First time in a gym ever but thats another story!) When I weighed myself on Monday morning I thought I was seeing things so got hubby to confirm that I had actually lost 6lbs! When I went online to put my weight in, I got a message saying I should be aiming for 1- 2lbs loss per week. Felt like I had been told off but I can honestly say I have used my full points allowance each day. I have done more exercise (brisk 40 min walks 3 evenings last week plus my hour in the gym on Saturday) so I think the exercise has made a huge difference! Will let you know what the scales say on Monday. (Sorry that update became a bit of a novel lol)

Well done! That's fantastic! It's totally normal to lose a big amount your first week compared to following weeks but still that is really amazing.
I think you've actually inspired me to give it a go yet again! With that loss even if you lose only the 1 or 2lbs per week up until Christmas from now on that's a huge loss and will be very noticeable!
You must be chuffed to bits! Congratulations!!!!!!

Thanks Lorri - I am chuffed to be honest. I haven't told anyone I'm doing Weight Watchers (except hubby and all of you guys lol) and my mum noticed yesterday that my face looked thinner! She said either I've lost weight or I'm pregnant!

Good for you Lorri - go for it! I am eating my full points allowance each day & aiming for 3 x 40 minute brisk walks a week. I know I won't lose another 6lbs this week but if I lose 1lb I will be delighted. Keep us posted on how you get on

Week 2 update - I have lost 5lbs since last Monday!!!! OMG. I thought I would have lost 1lb maybe 2 at the most. Thats 11lbs in 2 weeks and although I'm happy I'm a wee bit concerned that its too much too quick. I've read all the Weight Watchers info and 1 or 2lbs a week is supposed to be what I'm aiming for (which I have been) so I don't really understand how the weight is dropping off??? I am eating my full points allowance every day so am definately being sensible - am just a bit shocked. Anyway hows it going with you Lorri?

Well done Emler that's amazing! I'd be a bit worried if the same happens next week though!
I have lost 2lbs since Friday so that's quite good. I'm not doing my points but just not eating rubbish and nothing in between meals. It's particularly hard today though as I'm not feeling very well so I just want to eat!
I'll let you know on Friday how much I've managed to lose in my first week.
Anyway, back to you, you've done amazingly well Emler you must be really pleased! That's not far off a stone! You are my role model! He he!

2lb since Friday is fantastic too. Like you, I've cut out snacking on rubbish in between meals. I'm making sure that if I do feel peckish I have fruit instead of a biscuit or crisps. Its all ok at the moment but I imagine I will start craving chocolate very soon lol. Hope you're feeling a bit better soon

Update - I didn't lose any weight this week (but I haven't put any on either so thats good). I have been eating well but didn't get a chance to do much exercise. Will try to do more this week - just not sure if there are enough hours in the day lol. Am seriously craving galaxy chocolate though - not good!
