lol
I did my BMI this morning on tesco diets and its 31 - should be 23 OMG.
I've been relatively good today, I had weetabix for brekkie, a sandwich for lunch but then I had lasagne for dinner - but got through the day with NO snacking whatsoever, so im pretty happy. Although having ofsted call has made me want to pig out on chocolate.
I really need to work on cutting out carbs, i know this is how I get bloated so im going to start substituting sandwiches for salads and im going to go to the shops first thing tomorrow and buy loads of fruit and veg.
Looking forward to a better day again tomorrow!
hope everyone else is doing well and feeling motivated!!

I do have a photo of an asian elephant that I could always use as my before!
Daughter given very many choc eggs which could be a danger in the coming days.
As we just came back today I'm starting tomorrow. Lunch in ferry bistro and once home husband not shopped so we made pizzas out of muffins and I'm having a beer.
No minded chn till monday so I'll do a good healthy shop tomorrow, listen to my cd and get started in ernest.

I haven't been too bad today, although I did have a little of my sons easter egg - about 1.5 sq inch. I am really hungry at the moment. Yes Angel, I do hide away when I'm fat. I lose my self confidence and feel depressed. Stupid really as I'm not huge. I have just looked at what weight I was this time last year and I was 1 stone lighter. I remember how good I felt at the time, and can't believe I've let myself put weight on again. Oh well, at least I'm trying to do something about it. I'm having a 'green day' tomorrow so I know I wont be hungry as I eat loads on a green ie weetabix 2 packet pasta 'n' sauce for lunch (1 isn't enough for me!) Morrisons veg chilli and loads of rice for tea 2 slices wholemeal bread - supper fruit and 10syns which will prob be chocolate! Still haven't sorted out my photo. will get hubby to take it tomorrow.

Hi all
I too use my fleecies as cover ups when I'm not feeling confident about my size and have been known to keep my jumper on when everyone else is in vests.
But I don't wear baggy clothes as much since my sister in law gave me a good tip a few years ago and I do try to follow it.
Instead of wearing a baggy round neck t shirt which I always used to do she said to wear a v neck fitted t shirt or top. Showing a bit of your neck and dare I say cleavage does have more of a slimming effect than a baggy cover-all.
Oh and a good bra which has a better chance of holding up large boobs so that boobs don't join forces with spare tryes.
Since I've been following this advice people do say I look as if I've lost weight - which I haven't!
I also always admire big women who wear fabulous and revealing clothes - I think it gives them confidence.
Caroline - what diet are you on? Your green day food allowance would suit me fine!

Hi there
I've not done slimming world Caroline, is it a club like weight watchers?
I did scottish slimmers a few years ago and lost a stone but put it and more back since.
I'm trying to eat in low GI way while using Paul Mckenna as extra support - not him personally you understand, just his book!
I've done pretty well today with plenty of veg including juiced carrot and celery and not too many snacks - which are my downfall usually.
Did have cream on my strawberries and a wee bit of choc egg but I do feel that if I don't have a bit of what I fancy I'll start drooling and by 10pm feel like raiding the fridge!
I'm going to put up a recipe for a lovely fat busting soup later or tomorrow.
How's everyone else getting on today?

well done for having a good day bessie!!
a little bit of egg is not bad, its when you eat the whole thing thats it becomes a problem. I hate easter egg chocolate so I dont have that problem but instead I have the bars of glaxy and dairy milks in the fridge!
Fat burning soup is laways a favourite so pop it on when you get a minute!
I make chicken and veg soup a lot - it works well too, I keep meaning to put it on and keep forgetting!

Week 1
Apr 11, 2007 22:23:22 GMT
Post by bessie on Apr 11, 2007 22:23:22 GMT
Fat Burning Soup (from Fat Burner Foods by Caroline Shreeve)
2 bunches spring onions or 1 large onion or leek 1 med cauli or 1 large head broccoli 125g spinach or half small cabbage 1 large pepper - any colour 6-8 celery sticks 2-3 large carrots 1-2 tsp each crushed cumin and coriander seeds (optional) 1pt stock (chicken or veg) 13oz can tomatos juice of half large lemon 1 small handful coriander or flat leaf parsley 2 garlic cloves, crushed (optional) 1/4 to 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Wash all veg. Chop as fine as you like but don't peel.
Place all veg except tomatos in large pan with spices. Add stock and enough extra water to cover. Heat until nearly boiling then add toms and lemon juice.
Add herbs and garlic. Season with cayenne.
Simmer for 20-30 minutes or til all is tender.
As you can see you can substitute veg for another veg if you like.
On this diet you eat this soup every lunch and dinner for 2 weeks (with other food too) so this amount will do a few meals. Keep in fridge and heat what you need. You can eat as much as you like even for snacks if you don't fancy carrot sticks!!
I'm not following this rigidly but am using some of the meal plans.

Hi all
Louise you are good making so much soup. I can't say I've made such huge quantities but it's a really good idea. If you have it made then you're more likely to eat that rather than peanut butter on toast and cake as a quick snack - possibly!
I do love it and this week I'm rediscovering that I do love vegetables.
Sharon - Never mind about the 1lb. It's easy to get that off again and it was Easter!
You're lucky to have a goal of a lovely dress and a party to look forward to. Good luck. (You and I are about the same weight).
