Hi Ive got 1 week left on the DCH course I havent put my application form in yet as im having some work done on the house which will be finished in the new year. So I was going to send it off in the third week of dec. Do you think Ofsted will let me use my garden as it is just slabbed or should I get some grass down before they come?

Hi Mandjayne... Welcome to the forum!!
I dont have a grassy garden. I have pebble stones and my garden is registered.
As long as the garden is safe from danger its doenst matter if you have grass or not. Just so long as there is no dangerous hazards. You could maybe cover it in your risk assesment as to how you keep the garden a safe place.

a friend of min lived in a terraced property with just a yard at hte back that was no bigger than the size of a garage in fact was much smaller. It is all about safety. you can in fact childmind from a flat with no garden whatsoever so long as you can prove the ourside access you provide is safe
