Hi, Ive started the DHC and I am enjoying it at the moment, we have only covered unit 3 and Im finding it quite easy, but Im dreading doing unit 1, the multiple choice exam, has anyone else done it and how hard is it?

The exam is fone as long as you answer the questions from a childminders point of view and not as a parent.
The first time i took it i failed because i was thinking more from a mothers view and not a childcare proffessional. So just bear that in mind! I was also so nervous through the whole thing that I was all over the place.
So just be calm and relax and you will be fine!!
good luck

And another tip - answer the ICP (unit 1 if the DHC) NOT as an experienced Childminder. I took the ICP as a mock (I have already done it when it was assignment based) as part of my training for support minder and WOW it confuzzled me a bit. Glad to say that I would have "passed" it if was for real though - that would have been embarressing if I'd fluffed it wouldn't it! lol
