Recieved an email from NCMA regarding the new training with reference to CAF. www.everychildmatters.gov.uk/deliveringservices/caf/Apparently we will all be required to attend at least two sessions, have any of you been told about this or have you booked onto any of the courses already?? This will now be three more courses I will be attending if you take into account the new EYPS briefing we also have to attend. Guess ladies we are all going to be busy pen pushing with all thes new changes coming into effect?

Its the COMMON ASSESSMENT FRAMEWORK. Its along the lines of safeguarding children but trying to help the child & family before something becomes classed as 'abuse'. It works with lots of authorities and possibly more paperwork to fill in if required. I attended a course in june about this, but it was just an introduction & to be honest a waste of time. Would of been better just to wait for the proper training to come about. Info can be found at www.everychildmatters.gov.uk and click on link for Common Assessment Framework
