GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will sail through it! I know what an obvious statement this is but just take time to read the questions properly, I made some stupid mistakes on mine the first time round and knew exactly what i had answered wrong as soon as i left the examination room. I had stressed myself out so much about the exam I just couldnt concentrate. so go in there thinking you know it all and be confident and you will be fine!!!!!!!!!!! xxxxx

Lots and lots of good luck to you both. But you don't need luck, you have the knowledge, so try not to be nervous, you will sail through

thanks for all the good luck wishes. Exam started off really well, sailed through the first 13 questions, stumbled on question 14, then sailed through up to 22. Have to get 18/25 for a pass, so even if I get the questionable ones wrong I should still pass. Everyone doing the exam said pretty much the same.

Thanks, yes I am glad it's over! Son77 asked her friend how long her results took, and it was 2 months, then another 2 months before she got the certificate.

Sorry its a bit late, but good luck to you both.
I think I heard back within a month, just waiting the certificate, which seems to be taking the time!

Just wondered, are any of you planning to carry on and do the full Diploma? Or have you had enough!

im going to do the rest of the course. i didnt go to college after school or university and to be honest i enjoyed going to the dhc course for those first 6 weeks. I met a couple of people and it got me out of the house in the evening and i feel like i really acheived something as i studied and have made a new career for myself.
Although im terrible with exams I do want to do it. If not this year then definately next year but i am planning to do it in september.

I also thought about carrying on because I enjoyed going out & doing something for me rather than just be a mum. But on the other hand life is so hectic with 2 of my own kids & husband works away alot & works long hours, so who knows! Also, I thought the exam went well

I have just read an article about this as I will definitely want to go on to do it. The article showed the first chilmiders to achive the full diploma and they did it "fast track" which took 9 months. This involved a three hour session each week and several saturdays! Not sure how long normal pace takes though!!!
