if i register my husband as a assistant will i be able to leave him alone with the kids?

Yes so long as you get Ofsted to add it to your certificate, it's only for short periods (so you couldn't leave them all day for instance) and you also have to get parents written permission.
It's great to be able to do it. I can leave sleeping children undisturbed while I pop to collect from nursery etc. or hubby can go himself.
Also handy for visits to the dentist etc. no need to take the children with you!

yea thats what i thought and also my husband finishes work at half 4 and i would have the kids till 6 so he could watch them while i'm cooking t or something

Also, if he finishes at half 4 you could (if you wanted) ask Ofsted to increase your numbers while working with an assistant and take on extra children for the last hour and a half while he was there. Might not be necessary now but if ever times got hard.........!
