Hi Shell,
It really depends if there is a Support Scheme in your area. You would normally have been told about it at the briefing sessions when you first started thinking about minding.
You could try phoning your NCMA Co-ordinators if you have them in your area or, if not, try asking CIS.
Debra might know more than me as she lives in Derbyshire. Bet she will be along soon and will be able to tell you more.

Hi
It would be nice to meet up with new childminders as its nice to talk to them about how there getting on and for advice on things which i might not be to sure on. The only person that i know in Ripley who did the DHC Course with me has been registered but as yet has not started childminding, and she's not sure whether she will.

And just 20 minutes the other way is our Childminding Group at Eastwood.
You would be more than welcome to come along - you too Debra, although it would be 40 minutes or more for you!!
Even if you wanted to just pop up now and again it would be good to chat.
The school where we meet is easy to find and is not far from Ikea if you know where that is!

we have support childminders in Coventry called Buddies. I'm one of them. I think its a brilliant scheme to help new minders. The new minder is asked if they would like one and they are allocated one. I was helping out a new minder this afternoon. She starts minding on Monday. So hopefully all will go well for her. Next time I see her - I will try her about this website too.
