Hi,
I have a daily register which I have made for when I start minding. It states 'Name of Child, Time in, Time Out' Do the parents have to sign at the end of everyday on this register and if so, do I have to get it signed for over 8's too?

I use the NCMA register and use it for over 8's too. Parents sign weekly on it.

Hi Becky
I have a register similar to yours. I use it for all the children but I sign them in and out as I found parents often forgot.

I use the ncma one and get parents to sign it monthly (when they pay me) it's for over 8's (think someone said this duh sorry) Errmm as far as I'm aware as long as you've signed them in and out the parents sigs aren't as important (I'm sure other views on this will come !!!) but last year I got a complaint made against me (grrrr) and when checking she never said anything about the lack of parent sigs because I'd kept uptodate and had a policy on monthly signing

i use a diary and i get all parents to sign their child/ren in every day. My development officer told me its something ofsted like childminders to do. Parents just do it without me asking now.
Hope that helps Jenny x

At present I use the NCMA attendance register but as soon as I finish this one Im just going to use a diary, I think the NCMA one is a bit of a hassle.
Your Daily Register sounds fine to me. I'd get the parents to sign weekly
