Is it necessary for my all policies to be signed for holiday cover? My Support Childminder says its okay for me to show them and that'll be enough. I have added in to my contract for this person for them to sign to say they have seen, understood and agreed to my policies. I did think that i should get her to actually sign my accident and emergency one as i may need to call on someone else to care for her child in that event. Will this be okay do you think? ?

my parents sign the permission forms but not the policy docs. They do sign a sheet to say that they have read the policy documents and I have copies of them. I'm wondering now whether I am doing enough??

I'm sure my dhc course said they had to sign the ones that cover the standards, the ones i've downloaded from the ncma site have spaces for signitures. I too think its a good idea to have the parents read them (if they wish) and have a seperate sheet for them to say they've read it, understood etc as a) it is masses of paperwork for the parents, and b) costly for us to produce!! I'm not sure what ofsted regs are as my SCM said that ofsted have or are changing it so that parents no longer need to sign??

I have a one page list of permissions - parents tick each one to say they are happy and sign at the bottom - Ofsted perfectly happy with that last week! Sarahx
