OUTDOOR PLAY
Depending on weather the children in my care will be allowed to play outside the children will be supervised at all times and there will also be a stair gate on as there is steps leading to garden. The outdoor play equipment will be risk assessed everyday and cleaned to ensure the safety of each child in my care.

Hi Sarah
I've got an outdoor play policy based on the Bromley one if you want me to e-mail it to you?
Don't know if it will be useful or not, up to you.

I don't think we're allowed to say 'depending on the weather' anymore - apparently there's no such thing as inclement weather (unless we judge it to be dangerous) just a badly dressed child!! So out with that and in with 'we use the outside area every day and i ask parents to supply all-weather clothing - either send it daily or leave it with me - so I can fulfil my obligation to keep your child healthy in the fresh air don't forget to say something about sun protection - that's a big issue just now with global warming Sarahx
