I have just passed my childminding exam and am looking forwarding to looking after an angel or two.... can someone tell me where the law stands with caring for relatives children? My 'half sister' is only 22 amd is itching to get back to work after 2 children' i've told her she can't pay me in child care tax credits because we are related...is this true (even though i will be registered?) i heard gordon brown had plans to change the fact that relatives can't be paid for looking after relatives children in the near future is this true?? x x

Grandparents register to look after their grandchildren and claim tax credits... though Ofsted don't like it if they're only registering for family... There's no reason why she shouldn't be able to claim - especially if your surnames are different Sarahx

I agree with Sarah
In fact why even mention that you are related avoid complications and do not say a word
