a quick question about references

Hello everybody thankyou all for the replies on my previous post. i have another question, when i sent off the ofsted forms i did not enclose any written references i just put a name and address in of two people who would be willing to provide one.

Do i need to have these references already written for when i have my pre-registration visit or will ofsted get in touch with my referees direct ??

hi i enclosed 2 written references as they say you can in the application form but then my 2 friends at work said they still contacted them and asked them for another reference anyway so i wouldent worry, you should be fine.

I was the same as kelly76x, i enclosed two references with my forms but they sent the 2 ppl seperate forms to fill in anyways, so dont worry about it

Hi Strwbs,

OFSTE get in touch with your references direct. I sent my app off to them last Monay an my reference requests were issued out last Thurs. So I just chased my friends to make sure they get done!

Yes I was exactly the same as the others. I sent off 2 written references from my referees with my application. Ofsted then still contacted them directly for another reference.
I suppose its to make sure you haven't actually written them yourself and that they both match!
So I wouldn't worry, they will definately contact them.
