Hi again, sorry for all the questions I have my registration visit this Friday. The inspector told me that my doctors report was fine, social services check was fine and that after the inspection I would just be waiting for CRB check to come back which she would be chasing as soon as she put in the post box! But can anyone give me a rough idea as to how long it has taken from the visit to actually being registered and able to mind? Also, when can I join NCMA and sort out my insurance. I know for sure that mine and my husbands CRB checks will be fine! Its just that I have some mindees lined up already and we are all keen to get started! Also other minders in my area have offered to pass my number on if they get and enquiries that they can not help with. I havent passed my number on to them as yet because I dont know roughly when I will be able to start. Thanks Debbie

i had my reg inspection on the 1st August and my certificate finally arrived on November 1st, i have no idea why mine took so long i know the police took ages to finalise my crb but its here now so i'm happy, you can keep an eye on your crb with their tracking system on their website but beware you do get hooked i was checking 4-5 times a day lol. from what i can gather the average is around 8 - 10 weeks

Mine has taken months to come. I had my pre-reg visit mid july and my CRB check has only just arrived a few days ago. I think alot of it depends on how efficient your local police are. Mine was at stage 4 for over 2 1/2 months. I eventually rang the CRB to chase it up and within a couple of days it had finally arrived.
Hope you don't have as long a wait as me!!!! ;D
