Hi ya, Does anyone know where i can get cheap advertising eg printing leaflets and distribution. I got a leaflet saying that they will distribute 1000 leaflets for £25 but then i have to spend money on getting them printed. Please please help me - i have only one part timer 2 days a week and really need more kids otherwise i'll have to be forced to be an "office worker" and i really hate that!!!!

Could you not make your own leaflets and print them out ?

I'm getting some cards printed up on Vistaprint with my own designed logo on them ( well they designed it, but I picked colours etc!) and I intend on going into town one saturday and giving a card to anyone with children.
As a cheap option, why not type up an advert type thing on your PC, print it off and photocopy it and then hand them out in town? Leaflets drops are all well and good if you can afford to cover a whole town, but you are wasting lots of time and money and leaflets as you aren't targeting people with kids, like you are if you do it yourself in town.
Word of mouth - ask each friend/family member to tell 3 friends about you, and ask them to in turn tell 3 of their friends about you.
School/church newsletters - you might have to pay a wee donation
Cards in shop windows - doesn't cost a lot

Vistaprint are very good but just be careful that you read the small print on their website if you use them
A lot of the girls had problems with them
There is a very old post somewhere I will see if I can find it
The newsletter at the school is a good idea

thanks for the quick reply everyone,
I've done a leaflet drop myself - designed and printed my own leaflets - probably have to do another one wided my area - my hubby says it's more professional if i get the leaflets done properly as my one;s are on white paper and look home made (they are)
i've told everyone i can think of, was looking at vistaprint and thinking of getting some business cards done but people are going tpo chuck tem away in town like they normally do or what i could do is get them done, oreer them a few times so i buld up a collection and do a leaflet drop that way, so they look professional and only cost the postage.

Well if you think the ones you made did not look very professional then listen to this story
I had a leaflet through my door the other day about a new nursery open day
What utter rubbish - it was half of A4 paper - white But it was hand written by someone with very bad handwriting and bad grammar and spelling mistakes galore ( Sarah you would have had a fit !!!) It was then photo - copied
Then at the school today I overheard some mothers saying that they were going to this open day
So if they can attract parents then I bet you can and I bet yours are better than the ones I saw

aw thank you angel for your lovely comment - i absolutely hate spellling mistakes ( i bet you i make one now)heheh, especially when it comes to professional things ed letters, essays, advertising. I'm lazy i'd rather print things off but get someone else to deliver (my husbands he's a postie) and i'll promised him a treat if he did. this is my advert -tell me what you [/img] ( how do you add a pic) i've done browse but can't seem to host it
