I have given up work as I had 2 children ready to start with me and at the time had no contracts from NCMA - long story. The lady said not to worry and give her a call when I received the contracts. I did but she was away as it was half term, but when she was back she would come over. I saw the ladies' mum and she told me that she wasn't using me as a childminder. - So now I have no children lined up and no job! HELPPPPPP Any ideas as I really need children?

Have you advertised with your local C.I.S and had your advert listed on the website?
Some libraries, doctors and health visitor clinics do allow you to put up an advert however some are starting to say no - give them a try.
What about buying and wearing a T shirt that advertises you are a childminder.
Print out leaflets and letter drop (this could work out costly - it is up to you)
Advertise in local shop windows.
Contact local NCT group
Contact local schools
Even though you haven't got any children try to make contact with local toddler groups.
Put an advert in your car window.
I hope this lot helps or at least there is something in there that you are not already doing - it might be worth a try.
If I think of anything else I will add more

I think Dee has just about covered every angle for you there - I can't think of anything else
There was another thread about advertising a few weeks ago so maybe you could have a scout round the forum for that
Good luck

And I just thought - tell everyone you meet that you are a childminder
- try advertising at any large employers in the area like hospitals etc

Hi, just found a web site that might be of interest and perhaps fun, I am going to check out just how many letters can be used. The web site is www.buggy-plates.com, they make number plates up for you but they can be attached to your pushchair etc, I don't know if anyone else has seen these and posted them as I am fairly new to the forum. It might be fun to have these, what do others think? Teacake2

I have not heard of that before - buggy plates haha what a fantastic idea - I am like a car anyway with mine so when I crash into people they could look at my buggy plate for information haha
That is great
Just wanted to say sorry you are finding it difficult to get children at the moment You have been given some great advice though
Good luck and hope you get some children soon
Angel xx

A tip for non drivers, the buggy plates jogged my memory! You can get car sticker type things, that you can apply to your buggy raincover, with your number on, or a website/email or, stop me I'm a childminder! something like that.. - I have one for a fund raising operation stuck on my raincover - Netangels, and it is waterproof and everything. They were ordered through an Ebay seller, so have a search for car decals/stickers Edit* here saved you looking it up lol, THIS is what I mean Or how about one of THESE?
