Can anyone help?
I live in a RAF property and know that I need to get permission to childmind. My only problem is, I don't know who to approach. Is it DHE or the Station Commander? Hopefully the latter as I sure he will have no objection! And how do I go about doing this, is it just a basic letter informing them of my intention to CM and asking for their permission?

Hi
We are in army accom and I went to see our Welfare Officer about it as it had to be approved by quite a few different people and thought he was a good place to start!
He sorted it for me. Just needed to take along my registration certificate and certificate of liability and he did the rest.
Don't know if it is the same for the RAF - couldn't your hubby ask at work who it would be? Or just give DHE a ring and they will direct you to the right person.
Good luck - can't see them having any objections, I think it's just a formality - saying that it took 4 weeks for my permission letter to come through.

hiya, i actually answered this in the other post where you was asking about the stairgates but i'll write it here for you too.
Firstly write a letter to DHE they will write back to you saying it is ok with them aslong as you have insurance etc and that you have permission from the station commander. then write a letter to him and hopefully he will say yes. (i'm still waiting for my letter from SC to confirm).
