I just read someone elses post quickly about the inspector saying they need to complete menu's for what they plan on feeding the children they childmind! Is that necessary for everyone? Im only planning on doing this childminding thing for 1 year (maximum!) and only plan on looking after ONE child, UNDER 12 months old....so once he/she is at the weaning stage between 4-6 months old, then Im still going to want the parents to provide me with his/her food...as they will have been providing me with the baby milk. Theres no way im going to be cooking up meals for someone elses kids...sorry but im not the "kitchen cook" type! Now im scared!

It doesn't matter how long you intend to childmind for...you either do it 100% or not at all! Now if the parents are providing the food then you have to have this in your policies...you still need to demonstrate that you know how to store different foods prepared or otherwise...also what you would do if parent turns up having forgotten that day's food. PS You will also have to show that you have up to date knowledge regarding the preparation & storage of formula milk & sterilisation. Tasha
