If I do start childminding, eventually; how many am I allowed?
I have 2 of my own under 5.
My eldest is 4 goes to school September.
I have the job as a nanny starting December - I'm thinking I could do a course in childminding mid 2008 so that by September 2008 I could work from my home as a childminder and maybe take on extra children to the ones I have already?
I don't know. Please help if you know how many I am allowed, under and over 5.
Cheers!!

your own children are taken into account as an example I have 2 children 1 is 10 the other is 2 and a half the 10 years old doesnt affect my numbers but the 2 and half year old does so I am allowed no more than 5 children only 2 of those 5 can be under 5 and only 1 of those 2 can be under 1 if that makes sense.... it also depends on other factors such as space and the areas you will be minding in general though i think depends on each individual and the circumstances ie children, space etc hope that helps Susan x
