Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas about where to put all posters and the work children have done. I know it may sound strange but my whole lounge is all co-ordinated and it will look really weird and out of place if I use a wall to put all of the children's work on , or posters that I really want to buy. I thought about putting all my certificates on a wall in my hallway so that the parents can see them as they come in, Maybe I can make some room there, also, for the children's art and for posters. I have loads and loads of kids books and I want them to be accessible to the children all the time, but i haven't got the room to put a small bookcase anywhere downstairs, what does everyone else do? My lounge is like this - Fish tank against one wall, sofa against the other, TV and coffee table against other wall, desk against other wall, table and chairs against other wall and large patio door and a window taking up another wall. Sounds like a lot of walls- lol - but my lounge has 2 parts. I wouldn't be able to rearrange my lounge/diner as I have too much furniture in use. Sandra X

at the moment I have a notice board up in my kitchen displaying my certificates and also a magnetic wipe board to display things too. I dont have posters and art work up as I have to live in my home as well as work in it.
I am hoping to convert our garage into a playroom so that I can do just that.... and shut the door on the mess at the end of the day ...LOL

I also dont have posters or art work up, but i have a notice board in my hall with certificates and photos etc, and for books i have a big wicker basket with a lid which looks ok in my lounge and the children have easy access to it. At weekends i just put it away in the cupboard along with everything else.

Sandra my living room is the same and there is no way I would put up work or posters so I do not blame you
Lucky for me I do have a cloakroom ( well thats a posh word for it ) just a smallish room where we take our coat and shoes off so I have a notice board in there with everything on it
I am in the middle of doing my playroom so will maybe have a few posters
Regarding the kids work why not have a large folder and keep it near the door so moms can take a look if they want Keep just a few samples of craft work and photos etc in to show moms ? Thats more or less what I do now because I just would not have the room to display it all

My plan is to either laminate (yay!!) some drawings etc or take photos of them and put it all in a folder.
I'm not keen on having them stuck all over the place either but want them to be easy to get to if anyone wants to have a look.

hello there, I have my complaints, bt3, safe and sound poster near my front door, and framed my childminder certificate too!! I only put my own childrens work on the wall but I have 'sectioned off' my dinning area into a play area now so I can't see any posters/toys/art work when sat in the sofa (I have a funny L shaped lounge!!)
I would love a playroom one day!!! one day!

I have my certificates in frames in living room BUT take down when not minding (haven't decorated this room yet)
All art work etc is either on the walls of toy store room (hidden when door closed), in scrapebook or folder.
Parents can see these any time they wish.
It is our home as well as my workplace so when I've finished work things are put away.
I certainly don't want posters (childrens) in my living room after all it's my home first then my business second

My dining room and hall resembles a nursery!!!! enough said
We have an art gallery in the dining room (and where these works are produced)
posters on the front door (inside)
my sitting room is kept as best sort of - well it has the toys in it.
We are defo a "lived in house"

The entire downstairs of my house is covered in childminding stuff.
The lounge is full of theme of the week stuff. The hallway has my noticeboard and speed limit posters. My kitchen has artwork on the fridge, the kitchen door, the top cupboards, and the conservatory is the playroom which is obviously full of toys and posters etc....
My house actually does look like a nursery!!
