Taking over the board tonight aren't I?!! ;D
I was wondering is it worth having a Logo and Name for your buisness? As opposed to just being "that childminder with... lovely blonde hair/scary short hair/blue Zafira" ect...
Where dream logos/names up from? Apart from Mandy's Minding Service (not very inventive) what else could I have?

Hi Mandy
I think it's definitely worth it because, to me anyway, it just seems much more professional to have a proper business name. I don't think 'that chubby, ginger woman' would be very good!
My husband did my logo for me.

Lorri, you paint such a lovely picture of yourself!!! I am sure that is not how people refer to you.
I too wanted a business name to look professional but is completely personal choice. Just because you have a business name doesn't mean you are any better at the job than someone who doesn't.
Do tell Mandy - Do you have the lovely blonde hair or the scary short hair?

I wondered that about the hair too!
No, it obviously doesn't make you any better or worse at the job depending on whether you have a business name or not but I do honestly think it helps to make parents accept the difference between childminding and babysitting a bit more easily.
That's what I think anyway.
My description of myself is a very accurate one! I love having red hair but could do without the 'chubby'! Self-inflicted though so can't moan too much! ;D

So glad you like them! Let me know if you decide on one of them!
You could have a lovely logo, draw a smiley, sparkly cartoon button maybe? Or lots of different skin coloured buttons smiling! Ha ha!
My favourite word - for the same reasons as you, but not anywhere near as nice, rhymes with rollocks! Ha ha! My husband thinks it's hilarious that that's my favourite word as I never, ever swear under any circumstances but that's my favourite word!
I'm odd!
Dead excited you like the suggestions!

Ha, Ha, Ha!!!!!! Bo**ocks!!! It's not what a word means it's all about what a word sounds like and looks like. However, I wouldn't like to explain "B@llicky-Boo" Childminding I don't think I could design my own logo because (a) I am not the least bit arty (b) I know next to nothing about computers I'll let you know how I get on. Just popped back during the break!
He's on Living - 112 any second now! It's repeated at 11 on 113 I think if you miss it.
Last week was fantastic - he had some really strange applicants for his PA vacancy but he came across really nice and normal. I really liked him by the end of the episode! The applicants are going to be the real entertainment I think!
Can't wait!

I know he can be obnoxious but I just love his dry wit! ;D ;D One of my claim to fames is that he once held the door open for me in a Liverpool store in the late '80's
