Im really really confused over this whole B23 thing. My DO has given me a EYFS pack but has told me not to worry too much about it till next year. How, do I get to understand the whole B23 thing then, is there some sort of pack I should have? I really dont know what Im doing and if Ofsted ask about it at any inspection Im going to look like a fool.
What should I be doing??
Thanks
Sam

Hi Sam The EYFS pack you have received is good practice for all children from birth to 5 - and includes all the main parts of birth to 3 matters ... just in a slightly different format It is good to learn about birth to 3 .... but if you can't get the training or the pack then you need to think about what is in the EYFS cos that will give you everything you need to work with children anyway Think about observing the child so you know what they're doing and where they're up to.... then planning activities that follow their interests and move their learning onwards.... then watch how they react and plan again I've just read this back and I htink it makes sense - hope it helps! If it doesn't ask me again LOL Sarahx
