How many activities do you all plan for within a week. I am in the process of organising my planning (for EYFS) in view to start implementing it next year, but i think i may be plannng to do too many activities. Any thoughts or feed back greatly appreciated. My head is spinning.

I have a theme running through the week plus any celebrations / special events I plan same as heldraincloud - one focus activity for morning and one for afternoon They don't always happen though! They are just there in case the children need them - if everyone is happy and following their interests, then it is very flexible Sarahx

i still don't do any written plans i keep trying to but the time just disappears and i don't get the chance we were going to make halloween stuff this aft but the 6 year old has been in a right strop and wouldn't do anything i suggested so i let her get on with whatever she wanted the 2 babies have slept on and off so i did some gluing with the 2 year old but that's it.

Thanks ladies. I know some of you have sent me some stuff regarding plannng before which was very helpful. I too dont do any written planning YET, which is why i am trying to get some imformation before i try to implement some. the trouble with me is my plannng is in my head and i am struggling as to know how i can put this onto paper EASILY. I tend to go with the flow of the children as well, for example this week a little boy came dressed as a pirate, so we have made treasure maps, eye patches, pretend pirate ships with blankets and cushions coloured pirate pictures etc. All the children have loved it but i dont understand how i can do pre written plans for this, especially as it was all spur of the moment ideas.I took pictures of them all and have put these into their observation books with little observation notes. I think i am stressing about this too much, perhaps i should just wait until the EYFS training comes in.
