I started childminding cos I love kids but the paperwork is starting to get me down it feels like they want me to be a teacher without the teaching experience - its pretty daunting =/ Can anyone help me? hi there I'm up in Scotland where things are different, not so paperwork based I am discovering ( PHEW!!) when I did my pre reg course they said that ( up here at least but imagine not much diff?) the inspectors are not interested in your bookkeeping skills - all they really bother about is that you are registered as a business with the IR as it is an offence not to be. If that is wrong for England/Wales, I am sorry, don't listen to me lol! Good luck with your inspection, when is it?

Welcome to the forum dizzieblonde... love the name! If i was you i would stay in scotland....might be tempted to move there myself! Where abouts are you? i have family in Glasgow, Arran and Lesmahago. Everything here is paperwork. take a look at the bromley site for policies etc. link available through this site.i'm sure that if you have all this in place you will be more than covered. The rest is mainly down to planning...as long as you plan in advance and have evidence to back it up you should be fine! Good luck Monkey x

Welcome to the forum If you have a look around you will see lots of ideas for planning etc Also if you go to the Bromley website like Monkey suggested you will lots of information there www.bromleycma.org.uk/Ofsted do not ask to see any of your book keeping - what you earn is your business and not theirs You are just starting out so you are not going to know everything so do not panic or worry Read through some of the threads on here and you will get a general idea of what is expected of you Good luck and let us know if you are still stuck Angel xx
