I have just received a leaflet through the post about this Certificate. Does anyone know anything about it?
The letter with it says I can get full funding to do it.
It says it has developed three units at Level 3, based on the EYFS materials. These units can be used to support continuing professional development and over time could be combined with other units eg. common generic transferable units to develop a full Level 3 qualification. So it is not even a full qualification.
I thought as I am due my inspection some time next year, this could be a good way of going about sorting out the EYFS. Assessment of this qualification will be by direct observation and a portfolio of evidence, so assume it will be a bit like the NVQ.

Never heard of it but it does sound promising especially if you have funding for it. I would go for it if you think you can fit it in. Any professional development looks good imo

Hi,
I had read something about this in our areas 'Horizons' magazine which details all the training on offer for Early Years. It didn't give a lot of detail but someone to contact for more info. Your message has prompted me to do so as I think it is something I would like to know more about. Sorry haven't answered your question though.

I keep emailing my old CCP tutor to ask of they are offering it yet but at one point I had to send info on it as she had heard about it but had no info on it so I sent her the info in the above link lol and told her I want my name on the waiting list for it.
